Report: CEO says Lukoil plans no sales of power plants in Russia
MOSCOW, Oct 19 (PRIME) -- Oil major Lukoil has no plans to sell its power plants in Russia, Reuters reported on Friday citing the company’s CEO Vagit Alekprov.
Kommersant business daily reported on Thursday that the company had resumed looking for buyers for its power plants in the south of Russia and was in negotiations with power producer Inter RAO.
Lukoil bought power producer Territorial Generating Company-8 (TGC-8) in 2008 at the end of RAO UES’ reform. It later split the company into several regional firms with a total capacity of 5.7 gigawatts.
